I was pleased to walked into Ms. Manitowabi’s class today to see the students engaged in their work. They were using Tarsia puzzles to reinforce their multiplication skills. Many of the students embraced the struggled and did not give up on the puzzles, even when their level of frustration increased. Those students who were finished moved around the classroom assisting their peers and helping others to determine where they made their mistake.
Since the possible answers appeared more than once, the students were required to mix and match the solutions until they were just right.
Great to see the students persevering and completely engaged in math. Well done Ms. M!!
