Guided reading is a high yield instructional strategy it is the strategy that the reading intervention program is built around. Mrs. Biedermann supports students directly utilizing the Fountas and Pinnell Reading Intervention Program. The emphasis in this program has been to get students reading within the appropriate grade level continuum before grade 3. In addition to the direct support of students Mrs. Biedermann also provides support to teachers in the implementation and refinement of guided reading strategies in the classroom.

The Full-Day Early Learning–Kindergarten Program is a child-centred, play-based environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of all children. We have initiated this approach to Early Learning and inquiry learning with the purpose to establish a strong foundation for learning in the Full-Day Early Learning- Kindergarten Program. Both Ms. Fox and Mrs. Biederman have been supporting the ELK programming by leading a collaborative inquiry.
